今回はAORモノ。
プロデューサー冨田恵一さんのプッシュもあって数年前に再発されたエリック・タッグの1977年、オランダでリリースされた2ndアルバムです。
別名“白いスティヴィー”とよばれるほどの歌唱力。
いわゆる、ブルーアイド・ソウルの名盤。
彼は、フュージョンとゆうジャンルが確立されつつあった80年代にギタリストで有名なリー・リトナーへの楽曲提供で話題になった。
デビューアルバムの『ドリーム・ウォーキン』もAORの確かな名盤ですが、このアルバムは捨て曲なしで、メロディーが美しすぎる！
繊細なコードワークに、しっかり絡み付くエリックの旋律は絶品でございます。
ジャンルのブレンドの仕方も、かなり勉強になります。
